The Scottish Artists' Network has
been set up by Project Ability to encourage
discussion, interaction and support between
artists with learning disabilities and
inclusive arts organisations in Scotland.
Project
Ability has a long established record of
working in partnership with
artists and art organisations and facilitating
artistic exchanges. As one of Scotland’s
key visual arts organisations we have
a taken a leading role in creating opportunities
for people across Scotland to work together
and contribute to exhibitions and projects.
The
Scottish Artists' Network website is
a directory of who is currently working
and exhibiting in Scotland. This website
will allow these artists and organisations
to develop more opportunities to work
together, and to promote and showcase
their work.
Launched at Art Expo 2007
(Scotland’s
first conference for learning disabled
artists), the network aims to encourage
individuals and groups to share their
practice and experience to create a more
confident, better connected arts and
disability sector. |
